We aim to prevent and treat issues that may result from genetics or habits like thumb sucking. The best way to achieve these goals is to have your child evaluated by seven years of age; however, children with visible irregularities may benefit from orthodontic treatment when they are even younger.
Our friendly and experienced pediatric dentists can spot minor issues with jaw development and emerging teeth. We’ll also perform a bite check to monitor development as your child matures, and we can help to correct habits such as thumb sucking. If your child loses a tooth prematurely, we can fit them with a comfortable appliance that holds the space open for the permanent tooth until it appears. Known as a space maintainer, they can be fixed in place or removable, depending on your child’s needs.
