At one time, amalgam (silver) fillings were your only option. Now, your child can take advantage of the latest advancements in cosmetic dentistry with composite (tooth-colored) fillings. Composite fillings, which match the color and physical appearance of your child’s natural teeth, are a preferred option for restorations. As long as the fillings are relatively small, they can also be used on molars and other chewing surfaces. Your child can enjoy a natural-looking, bright smile!

Tooth-Colored Crowns and Stainless Steel Crowns

Dental crowns are restorations that cover and protect the teeth, restoring them to their normal size and shape and strengthening them to prevent further damage. We offer two types of pediatric dental crowns: stainless steel and tooth-colored crowns. Tooth-colored crowns are commonly used for restoring visible front and back teeth. As they match the color of natural teeth, these crowns are more cosmetically pleasing. Stainless steel crowns are often used on molars. Both options are durable and flex with the tooth while your child is chewing.

Cosmetic dental whitening is a non-invasive treatment used to lighten the color of your teen's natural tooth enamel, enhancing the beauty of their smile. Teeth whitening may be recommended by our dentists for discoloration of teeth after braces, teeth stained by medications, yellow or discolored permanent teeth.
In-office whitening can be performed with a light or laser, or by using bleaching gel. If you opt for the latter, we will first make special bleaching trays along with gel that can be applied as directed at home to your child’s teeth. Giving your teen a tooth whitening treatment will allow them to enjoy important moments like prom and senior pictures with confidence.
